I grabbed a face serum and a lipstick from Violet Grey, mostly because I’d been meaning to try both for a while and finally just went for it. The order showed up in good shape, and the packaging was tidy without feeling like there was a ton of extra stuff to deal with.

Shipping wasn’t super quick, but it also wasn’t bad enough that I was annoyed or anything. Everything looked clean and fresh when I opened it, and the boxes were sealed properly, which I always check with beauty products.

After looking them over and trying them, they definitely felt legit. The batch codes were there, nothing smelled off, and it didn’t give me that sketchy old-stock feeling. I’d probably order from them again since the quality seemed right

The stuff itself was Nice, but the box showed up looking beat up. not the biggest deal, just made it feel a little messy when it arrived

I went in expecting at least one of my usual skincare items to be sold out, because that’s usually how it goes, but everything was actually in stock. Checkout was quick and easy too. From the vibe of the site, it felt like they had their inventory together, and thankfully that seemed to be true.

I ended up returning a face cream I bought from violetgrey.com because it just wasn’t really working for me, or maybe it was that thing with my skin, not sure. Either way, the return process was easy enough to follow and I didn’t have to keep emailing anyone about it.
The refund came through faster than I thought it would, maybe a few days after they got it back. I was relieved because some places make it a whole thing, but this was simple overall

My order did show up with all the right items, which I was happy about, but the tracking updates were slow and I kept checking to see where it was, so overall it was fine, just a little more waiting than I expected.

I’ll be honest, Violet Grey isn’t exactly where I go when I’m trying to save money, but the more I thought about it, actually, the more I used what I ordered, the prices felt fair. I like that everything feels more carefully picked out, so I’m not just buying random products that end up abandoned in a drawer.

But customer service replied the same day, which was nice. Their answer actually made sense too, not one of those vague copy-paste replies where you still don’t know what’s going on afterward. They ended up fixing the issue, although I did have to send one extra follow-up message just to make sure everything was fully sorted out. Not a huge deal, just worth mentioning. Overall, it was a good experience and I appreciated that they handled it without making it complicated...

I was browsing while waiting for my coffee to cool down, the picks were really good. They had great brands, and it was easy to find things I’d actually want instead of scrolling through a bunch of random stuff...

I ordered from VIOLET GREY i kind of regret it because the shipping was way slower than I expected. The tracking barely updated, so I spent days wondering where my package even was, which was frustrating.

The items did show up in good condition, so at least there’s that, but I don’t feel confident about their delivery timing anymore. For what I paid, I really wish the whole process had been more reliable.
